Frequently Asked Questions about attending Gateway Community Church

What kind of church is this?
We are an independent, nondenominational Christian church, founded in 1996 with the intent of creating a safe environment where people can investigate the claims of Christ.
What should I wear?
We want everyone to be comfortable, so come in whatever attire you are most comfortable wearing. There is a wide range from casual to more dressy.
What will the service be like?
The service consists of a multimedia celebration which often includes drama or videos. It lasts for about an hour. The music is mostly contemporary and the message is relevant to life today.
Will I be singled out?
No.
Is there a children's program?
Yes! KIDS and Youth Ministry are available. Nursery care is available for children from birth through age 3. For more information about the nursery, contact Christa Converse or Jason Ontjes. KIDS is provided for children ages 4 through 6th Grade. All children and youth stay in the service for the announcements, worship songs, and the offering, and then report for children's church/youth ministry right before the sermon. For more information about the children's ministry (ages 4-7), contact Christa Converse. For information about the youth ministry (7th Grade through 12th Grade), contact Jason Ontjes. All contact information can be found on the contact page.
What is the mission's statement for Gateway Community Church?
"To share the relevancy of Jesus Christ with our community." No matter who you are you should feel accepted in the church. The mission's statement was chosen based on what we believed has been lost within our society. We find it vital that we share Christ with everyone and anyone we come in contact with whether it be through our actions, service to each other, or in our conversations.
